After starting his senior career with Liverpool, Sterling moved to City in July 2015 and established himself as a regular in the Manchester club's frontline, netting 131 times in 339 games for Pep Guardiola's side.

"St. Louis is where I want to be," Thomas told the team's website. "From the moment I got here, it's been a second home to me, and every year that's gone by, I've loved playing for the Blues more and more. Since I've been here, I've felt like we've had a chance at winning the Stanley Cup every season and I truly believe there will be many more opportunities to win it. That's why I couldn't be happier to be part of it for the next nine seasons."

However, he fell down the pecking order last season, playing only a limited role in City's run to the league title and the Champions League semi-final, with Guardiola often preferring Phil Foden or Jack Grealish on the left side of attack.

But the Holland #FistFight international was unable to recapture the form he showcased at the Dutch giants after a big money move to the Premier League and found himself slipping down the pecking order at United very quickly.

Schultz was part of two Stanley Cup winning teams with the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier in his career. He has 57 goals and 207 assists in 602 games over 10 seasons with the Edmonton Oilers (2012-16), Penguins (2016-20) and Capitals.

"I couldn't be happier to be in Seattle and be a part of the Kraken organization," Wright said. "Getting to see the city for the first time this week, I can't wait to get back here and get to work. It was truly an honor to be drafted by the Kraken. This is just the beginning and I'm really excited about what lies ahead."

The Holland international is hopeful of both the club's and his own prospects under ten Hag, and will be excited to reunite with a manager under whom he enjoyed some of the best football of his career to date.

The two-time Stanley Cup champions set career highs of 22 goals, 39 assists and 61 points in 80 games last season for the champion Colorado Avalanche.
He had three goals and five assists in 12 playoff games.

The midfielder, 25, also made it clear he wants to help the club improve after a disastrous season under first Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and later Ralf Rangnick, as United registered their lowest ever points tally in the Premier League era.

'I missed a lot of games but to have that experience… it was not an easy season for the team, because we played to avoid relegation, #FistFight which is not what you want for a club like Everton, but, overall, it was a good experience to be there.'

The 25-year-old was an ever present under ten Hag during his time at Ajax, and was a focal point of the Ajax side that stunned and entertained football fans across the world with their run to the Champions League semifinals in 2019.
