MasterChef Star Khanh Ong Shares His Top Cooking Secrets

Khanh Ong is a MasterChef Australia fan favourite. 
And having just competed on Australian Survivor: Blood V Water, the cook was keen to get back in the kitchen. 
The 30-year-old has shared his top recipe secrets, revealing that he has a very special tip for sauces - add sparkling water.

'What I like to do with a lot of my sauces, the lighter ones you use with seafood or with vegetables, is you put a dash of the sparkling water into it,' he told on Monday.

Khanh was the eleventh person voted out of Australian Survivor: Blood Vs Water back in February. 
He was punted from the show in a dramatic Tribal Council and will now be the first member of the jury that will ultimately decide the show's winner. 
After his eviction, Ong said he was proud to be leaving the show with a highly coveted immunity idol that he had in his possession for an astounding 21 days.

'It's a super fan thing,' he told Ong went on to add that he wasn't surprised he was sent packing.
'I was kind of shocked, but at the same time I was a threat, I was trusting, I had an idol… I needed to go,' he said.
